Web Video’s

I am sure everyone reading this has heard of YouTube. You have probably had friends mail you entertaining videos that link to YouTube, but did you know you could insert YouTube videos on your website?

Maybe you knew that too, but are you aware of how valuable of a tool this is?

Videos on a website can really suck up your bandwidth at rates that would floor your hosting company. Why do that when you can have YouTube host your video and they supply 100% of the bandwidth the video requires.

Video is a very powerful tool when used on a website. When visitors come to your website and see a video then they will have a higher regard for your product and your website will also look much more professional.

YouTube accepts almost any format; just make sure your video is under 10 minutes in length and 100 MB in size.

YouTube will automatically compress your video into a flash player once uploaded, so make sure you do not do any compression yourself. In fact, it’s best, if your video quality is high as possible when you upload. In other words, the closer you are to 100 MB without going over the limit, the better the quality will be.

HOW CAN I UPLOAD MY VIDEO ON YOUTUBE?

Well it’s easier than you think. You can always get a camera and then video tape yourself while you explain your product, but cameras cost money, so this can be an expensive method.

What I recommend for you to do is get some quality screen capture software. This way you can set up a tutorial on how to use your product or you can use the screen capture software to record a PowerPoint presentation. Then once you have your video, you’re ready to upload.

There are plenty of screen capture programs to use, but one I highly like and always recommend is Cam Studio. It’s totally free; you can download it at the following URL and start using it right away. In addition, Cam Studio also allows you to record sound as you go along, it’s really a great free product.

Once you have your video, just upload it to YouTube . Once approved, YouTube will allow you to insert an I-frame on your website. They will give you all the code, and just like that, you will have your own video right on your website.

Moreover, as an extra side bonus, YouTube will also send a few more visitors to your website just from your video being in their website.. YouTube is really a great marketing tool.

Although YouTube is my personal favorite video playing service, there are plenty of others on the market. Google Video and Revver are also very good.
